Lou Martini, Director of Jackadder International, said he was proud to announce the ICT advisory and consulting firm’s sponsorship of the Charles Darwin University’s highly regarded IT Code Fair for 2016. As the inaugural Treasurer of the NT Information Industry Association and Co-Chair of the NTG’s first Ministerial Advisory Council for ICT, Lou said he understood the importance of supporting the development of the local ICT Industry.
The IT Code Fair, which this year will be held on the 11 November, involves a series of activities including Software Coding and Project Poster Competitions, Code Workshops, Business Innovation Challenge and importantly the chance for students to meet potential employers through an Employer Speed Dating Event. The popular annual event is supported by the ICT Industry Association of the Northern Territory and the Northern Territory Government and last year was opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Malcolm Turnbull.
Under the sponsorship arrangement Jackadder International will provide the $250 prize for the best Project Poster at this year’s event. Lou said he was very much looking forward to attending the IT Code Fair as well as participating as a member of the judging panel for the Project Poster competition.
